The Fuji-Imvac BT-64A outperforms other competitor's engines of comparable size and price for starting ease, dependability and smooth operation. That's because it hasn't been "adapted for R/C"—it's engineered specifically for powering model aircraft. It even uses the same mount as the BT-50SB. The BT-64A incorporates many of the quality features found on all Fuji-Imvac engines—including the revolutionary Automatic Timing Module—but it also boasts some unique advancements of its own. It's the 64 cc-sized powerhouse that gasoline airplane pilots have been waiting for!
The BT-64A shares these exceptional Fuji-Imvac features:
- The innovative Automatic Timing Module (ATM) that offers easier starting, higher top-end rpm and consistent throttle transition.
- Heat-resistant cylinder heads with true chrome plating.
- Four ball bearings—2 on the crankshaft and 2 on the conrod—for virtually friction-free operation.
- Champion RCJ6Y resistor spark plug, muffler and mount for optional spring starter.
- The included Walbro carb has a "butterfly" choke valve that's easier to use than a slide-valve carb.
- A direct linkage throttle setup provides faster, more accurate response than a bellcrank system.
- This insulating plate helps prevent engine heat buildup from affecting carb settings.
