For many years, Fuji-Imvac has been proud to supply giant-scale pilots with gasoline engines created specifically for R/C flight — not simply adapted for the hobby from other applications. Seiji Tanabe, an avid giant-scale pilot himself, unlocked the full potential of gasoline power for R/C models by developing such innovations as the Fuji-Imvac ATM (Automatic Timing Module) and EIS (Electronic Ignition System). Benefits included fast, easy starts and high power throughout the rpm range...the characteristics that gasoline modelers wanted most. Now, having successfully raised the quality of gasoline power for R/C fliers, Fuji-Imvac has decided that it’s time to close this chapter of our story. As of May 31, 2011, all Fuji-Imvac engines are being discontinued. No more will be produced. Parts will remain available, however — for up to three years or while the supply lasts. See the Replacement Parts page on this site for more information. Fuji-Imvac thanks the many modelers who have trusted their prized aircraft to our engines. We are forever grateful for your loyalty, and wish you an endless number of exciting R/C flights in the years to come.
